We’re a little late getting to this, but back on June 22nd, Eric Farris robbed Mike Hessman of what would have been a game-tying home run to left-center field.

Aside from the fact that it’s a sweet catch, this video clip is awesome for three reasons (Link posted below).

1) Farris is a Hamilton High graduate, and was a 4th round pick by the Seattle Mariners in 2007 (out of Loyola Marymount)

2) The ball was hit by Mike Hessman, the modern day Babe Ruth of the minor leagues. Hessman has 392 minor league HRs, and 288 at the AAA level.

3) Farris is usually an infielder, spending most of his time at second base.

Farris is currently in the playing for the Rochester Red Wings, the Minnesota Twins AAA affiliate, and hopes to be called up to the majors for what would be the third season in a row. He’s currently riding a bit of a hot streak at the plate, going 11 for his last 33.
